While technically correct, the forecast was a bit mis-leading!

Surface winds were forecast at 3-4 all morning, 3000 ft winds were 11 kt and 6000 ft were light and variable. What it didn't mention was the 30 mph winds between the surface and 3000 ft!

There was a little haze in the sky but we still had a good view of Boston, especially from 4000 ft where I had climbed to get into the slower winds to allow the chase crew time to catch up.

As we approached 225 and the Concord River, the crew was ahead on 225 so we started a descent. While I had anticipated crossing the river and landing in the visible fields between 225 and RT 4, the low level turned sharply north so we landed at a home north of 225 and west of the Concord River.

The slow surface winds allowed the home owner to come out and talk to us before we set down to wait for the crew. We walked the balloon over to the driveway for deflation.
