This was a great weekend for outdoor activities, and we only had the one flight planned.

Surface winds were light and winds aloft were also light. Just the direction was a bit different. Lower levels were out of the south when the south generally includes more south west.

Initial direction was NNW, crossing I-495 north of RT 111. Climbing higher turned NNE, but not a lot of change. We were headed toward Littleton High School but when we came down too early we turned left and ended crossing RT 110 into the gated gravel pit.

Not much open area or large yards as we passed the transfer station. If we had been further right or left of the elevators in Groton there were industrial buildings, but then we had to climb to clear the high tension lines and sub-station.

Too far left of Four Corners (RT 225 and RT 119) to get into the parking lots, but there were new roads into new construction just before RT 119. Brushing through the last few tree tops, we dropped into the road where the crew was ready to add weight so we didn't bounce too much. Open road with underground utilities, just not much space in our direction of travel.
