Flight Review - Rudi

Envelope back from re-coat, new top tabs, and annual at the factory. Bottom end completed by Brian Boland. Good weather midweek and Rudi available for the flight review.

Tacky does not begin to describe the coating. The fabric was glued together and required a lot of work to pull apart during cold inflation just to free the parachute top. Continued pulling fabric apart and stretching the parachute out to mate the tabs. Eventually hot inflated to let the internal pressure pull the final wrinkles apart.

Bob was long gone when we got off, heading NW. By the time we got to I-495 to think about descending over the west side marsh, Bob was landing in Littleton, south of Rt 2 near Whitcomb. Down low we slowed and turned N-NE. Original goal was BTI, but variable winds would allow me to move E enough. This also put the buildings along Taylor out of reach so we climbed to head for Bob. During the descent for final landing we finally found a good E wind.... too late. Bob and crew helped us packup.
